Assistant Manager

Trion Living manages multifamily communities where residents are proud to live and teams are proud to work. The Magnolia is a 312-unit mixed-income community in Charleston, SC, and we're looking for an Assistant Community Manager who brings order, accuracy, and a service mindset to the financial heartbeat of the property. About the Role The Assistant Community Manager is the financial right hand to the Community Manager, owning the day-to-day of rent collection, resident ledgers, and delinquency management. If you take pride in a clean rent roll, clear records, and following through with residents professionally and consistently, this role is for you. What You'll Do Post rents, fees, and payments accurately and keep resident ledgers current and reconciled Own the delinquency process end to end: outreach, payment arrangements, reminder notices, and coordination of legal/eviction filings in line with company policy and South Carolina law Prepare and review daily and weekly collections, deposit, and delinquency reports for the Community Manager and regional team Manage move-in/move-out accounting, deposits, and final account statements Handle resident payment inquiries and disputes with professionalism and empathy Support month-end close, bank deposits, and financial reporting accuracy Step in for the Community Manager as needed and support a positive resident experience across the office What You Bring 1-2+ years in property management, ideally in an assistant manager, bookkeeper, or collections/AR role Strong bookkeeping and financial-accuracy skills; comfortable with ledgers, reconciliations, and reporting Experience with property management software (Yardi, RealPage, or similar) preferred Clear, professional communication and a steady, service-oriented approach to difficult conversations Highly organized, detail-driven, and dependable with deadlines Familiarity with mixed-income/affordable (LIHTC) programs is a plus, not required - we'll train the right person What We Offer Competitive compensation, [medical/dental/vision, PTO, 401(k), rent discount - adjust to your benefits package], and a supportive team that invests in your growth within Trion Living. #J-18808-Ljbffr
