Assignment Duration: 6 months
Location: St. Augustine, Florida
Schedule: 3 days per week onsite
Compensation: Competitive pay
Vacation: 12 weeks annually

A healthcare organization in Northeast Florida is seeking a qualified MQSA Radiologist with strong breast imaging expertise for a full-time, six-month assignment. The position combines onsite breast imaging responsibilities with remote teleradiology coverage.

The physician will interpret screening and diagnostic breast imaging, provide timely and accurate reporting, participate in quality and compliance activities, and support the facility's ongoing MQSA accreditation requirements.

• Interpret screening and diagnostic mammography, including digital breast tomosynthesis.

• Interpret breast ultrasound and breast MRI within the scope of credentialed privileges.

• Perform image-guided breast biopsies and localization procedures when included in the assignment.

• Provide accurate and timely reports using standardized BI-RADS assessments and recommendations.

• Communicate urgent or significant findings to referring providers and coordinate appropriate follow-up.

• Participate in peer review, medical outcomes audits, and quality improvement initiatives.

• Maintain required MQSA documentation, including continuing education, qualifications, and interpretation experience.

• Support facility accreditation activities and preparation for annual MQSA inspections.

• Provide teleradiology services as part of the weekly schedule.

• MD or DO degree.

• Completion of an accredited diagnostic radiology residency.

• Board certification or board eligibility in Diagnostic Radiology.

• Active, unrestricted Florida medical license, or eligibility to obtain one before the start of the assignment.

• Meet all applicable MQSA interpreting-physician requirements , including required initial training, continuing experience, continuing education, and modality-specific qualifications.

• Demonstrated proficiency in mammography interpretation and breast imaging.

• Eligibility for facility credentialing and professional liability coverage.

• Fellowship training in Breast Imaging.

• Experience performing stereotactic, ultrasound-guided, and MRI-guided breast biopsies.

• Experience with digital breast tomosynthesis.

• Experience with PACS and structured reporting systems.

• Experience participating in multidisciplinary breast care programs.
