Immediately Hiring - APU & Tractor Technicians ($20–$22/hr) Job Description

The APU / Tractor Technician is responsible for performing preventative maintenance, inspections, diagnostics, and basic repairs on Auxiliary Power Units (APUs), tractors, and trailers within the fleet. This role supports fleet uptime by ensuring all equipment is safe, compliant, and operating efficiently in accordance with company and regulatory standards. 1st and 2nd shift available. Tools required.

Perform preventative maintenance and basic repairs on APUs installed on company tractors

Conduct scheduled basic tractor and trailer maintenance

Diagnose and complete basic electrical repairs and trailer tracking system repairs

Perform inspections to ensure fleet equipment meets safety and compliance standards

Support daily fleet operations through timely and accurate maintenance work

Small engine repair

Fleet or diesel maintenance

Electrical repairs

Lawn care or small equipment servicing

Diesel or tractor/truck equipment servicing

Work in a non-climate-controlled fleet shop environment.

Day shift: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM

Afternoon shift: 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Olathe, KS.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
