Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: PACU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10 Experience: Minimum of 2 years in PACU required. License: Current state nursing license required. Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS required. Must-Have: - 2 years of experience in PACU. - Experience in all types of surgery. - Strong assessment skills. - Ability to work M-F and accommodate scheduling needs. Description: The position is for a Registered Nurse specializing in PACU. Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of PACU experience. The unit is seeking a well-rounded RN with experience across various surgical procedures. First-time travelers will only be considered if they have 3 or more years of PACU experience. This schedule requires flexibility in working M-F with no specific days off. A commitment to patient care and teamwork is essential. The RN will be responsible for assisting in the recovery of patients post-anesthesia. Key skills required include airway assessment, central line management, and patient education. Candidates should be familiar with various surgical procedures including general, orthopedic, and cardiovascular surgery. All travelers may be expected to float between facilities if required. Maintaining documentation in the appropriate charting system is essential.
