Job Title: Material Handler Job Description

As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for the reconditioning of heat exchange plates. This involves removing old rubber gaskets, power washing the plates, testing for cracks or holes, washing and drying, gluing new gaskets, transferring into the oven, and packaging for shipment.

• Recondition heat exchange plates by removing old rubber gaskets.
• Clean plates using power washers and test them for defects such as cracks or holes.
• Use a black light and special material to identify defects in the plates.
• Wash and dry plates after testing.
• Glue new gaskets onto the plates and transfer them into an oven to adhere.
• Cool and package plates for shipment.

• 1 year of manufacturing or production experience.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively in a team.
• Capability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Self-motivation.

• Experience with general labor, packing, production, material handling, assembly, and packaging.
• Proficiency in using hand tools and forklifts.
• Cleaning and maintenance skills.

Work in a manufacturing environment with an open warehouse layout. The facility is not climate-controlled, and you will be part of a team of 12 employees who enjoy a relaxed atmosphere. This is a first-shift opportunity from 7 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturdays. The dress code includes steel-toed boots and jeans, and safety glasses and gloves are provided by the employer.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Ankeny, IA.

The pay range for this position is $18.50 - $18.50/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a fully onsite position in Ankeny,IA.
