Job Description

Job Summary:
Assist surgical teams by preparing operating rooms, sterilizing instruments, and supporting patient care during surgical procedures. Ensure compliance with safety and infection control standards to facilitate efficient surgical operations.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare operating rooms with sterile instruments and supplies prior to procedures.
• Assist surgeons and staff by passing instruments and maintaining a sterile environment.
• Sterilize and disinfect surgical tools and equipment according to protocols.
• Monitor patient status during surgeries and assist as needed.
• Adhere to safety, infection control, and facility standards throughout all tasks.
• Maintain accurate documentation of surgical supplies and procedures.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of a surgical technologist program or equivalent training.
• Possess at least 2 years of perioperative experience, with strong cardiac, neuro, thoracic, ortho, and vascular skills.
• Currently certified as a CST (Certified Surgical Technologist) or NBSTSA CST certification required at submission.
• Able to work day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
• Willing to review candidates with pending state licenses.
• Demonstrate excellent sterile technique, attention to detail, and teamwork skills.
