Accounts Receivable Specialist


Pay: $23.00 - $27.00 per hour


Location: Santa Barbara, CA


Schedule: Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week. Full-Time

About the Role


We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team in Santa Barbara, CA. This is a great opportunity for someone with a solid foundation in accounts receivable who is eager to grow their skills, learn new processes, and take on additional responsibilities over time.


The ideal candidate has experience working in a high-volume accounts receivable environment, is comfortable working with Excel, and takes pride in accuracy, organization, and timely follow-through.

Responsibilities

• Process and manage a high volume of accounts receivable transactions.
• Prepare, post, and reconcile customer payments.
• Monitor outstanding accounts and follow up on past-due balances.
• Research and resolve payment discrepancies and account issues.
• Maintain accurate customer account records.
• Assist with invoicing, account reconciliations, and collections activities.
• Communicate professionally with customers regarding account balances and payment questions.
• Utilize Microsoft Excel to track, analyze, and maintain financial information.
• Assist with month-end and other accounting processes as needed.
• Work collaboratively with the accounting team and other departments.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and efficiency.
• Take on additional responsibilities and develop professionally as the role grows.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of accounts receivable experience.
• At least 3 years of experience using Microsoft Excel.
• Experience working in a high-volume AR environment is strongly preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Willingness to learn, grow, and take on new responsibilities.
• Accounting or finance education/coursework is a plus, but not required.
