Travel CT Technologist Night Shift at Level III Trauma
American Traveler
American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist for a Level III trauma center, requiring at least 1.5–2 years of hospital CT experience with GE and Siemens equipment.
Requirements
- Minimum 1.5-2 years of hospital CT experience required (1.5 years accepted with Level I trauma or travel experience)
- BLS certification required
- ARRT(CT) and ARRT(R) certifications required
- Experience with both GE and Siemens CT equipment required
- Epic charting experience required
- CT and RI state licenses required if applicable
- Experience with image display and post processing including 3D rendering, multiplanar reconstruction, and ROI measurement preferred
- Experience with abdomen/pelvis, head and neck, spine/MSK, and chest CT studies
- Experience with special procedures such as aspirations, biopsies, coronary CTA, CT arthrography, drainage, and vascular CTA preferred
- Skilled in contrast media preparation/administration, peripheral IV starts, and venipuncture
- Teaching hospital, community hospital, and Level I/II trauma experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Short-term acute care Level III trauma center with 252 staffed beds, part of the Yale New Haven Health System
- CT Tech unit using a GE Optima CT660 scanner
- Charting performed in Epic
- 4x10 night shift schedule, 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM
- Call and weekend coverage required as needed per department needs
- Will float between Lawrence and Memorial Hospital (CT) and Westerly Hospital (RI), requiring licensure in both states
- Free parking available on site
- Perform CT imaging across adult and pediatric outpatient, ED, ICU, and trauma settings
- Travelers obligated to participate in natural disaster or other emergency response activities as needed
- Flu vaccine required with no declinations accepted
- COVID vaccine and booster required, with religious/medical exemptions only
- Candidates must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for the travel rate
- Returning staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 2 years to be considered as a traveler
- Up to 7 days of RTO can be auto-approved
- One reference required for consideration
