Job Description
Job Title: Advanced Practice Provider

Profession: Physician

Shift: Variable shifts including 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., 12:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., and 6:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.

Hours per Shift: 10-12 hours

Experience: Minimum 1 year, 2 years preferred in emergency room settings

License: Current and valid license to practice as an Advanced Practice Provider

Certifications: Emergency room experience, ideally level 2 or greater

Must-Have: Ability to work 60-120 hours per month

Description:


Temps are available with a clean file.


The provider must have experience working in an emergency room setting.


The ideal candidate should have a minimum of one year of experience, with two years being preferred.


Shifts do not need to be consecutive, but candidates should be willing to work between 60 and 120 hours a month.


Experience with metrics is important for this role.


The Advanced Practice Provider will see an average of 1.7 patients per hour.


The current average is 155 patients per day in the department, which includes a pediatric average of 30 patients per day.


The admission rate is 25%.


The facility averages 1.55 patients per hour per provider and sees approximately 55,000 patients per year.


There are 42 hours a day of physician coverage.


Locum providers must be able to work all shifts.


Within the month, all shifts will transition to 12 hours as summer progresses in the area.


This position requires flexibility and commitment to patient care in a busy environment.
