Coder - Health Information Management - Full Time (40 hours/week)

Position Overview The Medical Record Coder is responsible for accurately coding inpatient, outpatient, and emergency patient records using current coding methodologies. The coder will cross‑train to other positions within Health Information Management. Responsibilities Accurately code patient records for inpatient, outpatient, and emergency services. Cross‑train to other positions within Health Information Management. Maintain compliance with coding standards and regulations. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED Certification: RHIA, RHIT, CPC, CCS, or CCA from AHA or AAPC Preferred Qualifications At least one year of coding experience in a hospital setting Compensation Wage range: $25.01–$38.66 per hour. Actual wage based on years of applicable experience. FTE: 1.0 (40 hours per week) Benefits Position is benefits eligible. Eligibility for health, dental, vision, and wellness programs. Pension eligibility after one year of part‑time status. Employment Details Remote eligibility: first 30 days in office, evaluated thereafter.
