ASL Paraprofessional
Position: ASL Paraprofessional
Schedule: Full-Time, 6.25 hours/day
We are seeking a full-time ASL Paraprofessional to support a student in accessing instruction, communicating effectively, and participating fully in the school environment.
Requirements
Proficient in American Sign Language (ASL)
High school diploma/equivalent plus 2 years of post-secondary coursework, an Associate’s Degree, or successful completion of the ParaEducator test
Responsibilities
The ASL Paraprofessional will model AAC and sign language while helping the student access classroom instruction and activities. Responsibilities may include providing behavioral and academic support, helping the student stay on task and follow directions, assisting with assignments and social interactions, and supporting self-care needs as appropriate.
This is a great opportunity for an ASL-proficient paraprofessional looking to make a direct impact in a school-based setting.
