You don’t just troubleshoot—you teach, you guide, and you make sure the next time the team knows exactly what to do. What You'll Be Doing Use Ansys simulation tools (AEDT, Icepak, Fluent, Mechanical) to help customers solve electronics thermal, power, and reliability challenges in real-world designs Provide direct technical support, troubleshooting, and workflow recommendations to customers across the US and Canada, ensuring they get the most out of their simulation investments Build deep expertise in Ansys simulation products and their application to electronics design, becoming the go-to resource for both customers and internal teams Guide customers in multiphysics simulation approaches, including electro-thermal and thermo-mechanical analysis, helping them choose the right methods for their problems Capture and report software bugs and feature gaps, contributing actionable feedback to product development and participating in field-testing new releases Collaborate with Sales and Marketing to provide technical insights, support product demonstrations, and help shape messaging that resonates with engineering teams Deliver training sessions, webinars, and technical presentations to upskill customers and colleagues, making complex simulation topics accessible and actionable The Impact You Will Have Speed up customer adoption of advanced simulation workflows, letting teams find and fix design issues before hardware is ever built Raise the bar for customer satisfaction by turning technical obstacles into opportunities for learning and success Drive improvements in Synopsys’ simulation tools by channeling real-world feedback into actionable product changes Empower engineering teams to leverage AI-enabled simulation, opening new possibilities for design optimization and innovation Help customers reduce costly design iterations by giving them the simulation expertise they need, exactly when they need it Grow the technical capability of Synopsys’ support and product teams by sharing best practices and emerging trends Make a measurable difference in the reliability, performance, and competitiveness of customer products across industries What You'll Need Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical, Mechanical, Aerospace Engineering, Engineering Physics, or closely related field (BS + 2 years, MS or PhD with relevant experience) Hands‑on experience with Ansys simulation tools (AEDT, Icepak, Fluent, Mechanical) or equivalent CAE, CAD, EDA, or PLM platforms Solid foundation in fluid mechanics, computational fluid dynamics (CFD), and thermodynamics applied to electronics Familiarity with multiphysics simulation (electro‑thermal, thermo‑mechanical) and their role in electronic system design Strong communication skills—you can break down complex technical topics for both engineers and non‑specialists Willingness and ability to travel domestically up to 10% as needed Experience supporting customers in a technical role is a plus Who You Are You break down a thermal bottleneck or simulation error methodically, asking the right questions and staying focused on root cause You can explain the difference between a CFD solver setting and a physical design constraint without losing your audience You’re comfortable juggling multiple priorities—support tickets, training, field-testing—without letting quality slip You look for the “why” behind a customer’s workflow, not just the “how,” and tailor your guidance to their real needs You thrive in teams where expertise is shared, and you enjoy mentoring others as much as you enjoy learning yourself You stay curious about new technologies and are ready to try, test, and advocate for better ways of working The Team You'll Be Part Of You will join the Ansys Customer Excellence (ACE) Global Technical Support (GTS) team, a diverse group of talented engineers and technical specialists dedicated to empowering customers and advancing simulation-driven innovation.
