The City of Terrell is seeking a Public Works Director. The City is seeking a highly engaged Public Works executive with strong operational and field experience who can lead from both the office and the field. This role requires a practical, solutions-oriented leader who understands municipal infrastructure systems and can effectively guide teams through operational improvements and organizational change. The Director will oversee approximately $25 million in utility-related operations and capital activity, alongside General Fund infrastructure budgets supporting streets, drainage, sanitation, and related operations. The City is actively developing its CIP program, and this position will play a major role in shaping future infrastructure investments. The ideal candidate will bring a combination of technical credibility, operational leadership, and people management skills. Terrell is specifically seeking someone with strong field and utilities experience, not simply a purely administrative or engineering-focused executive. This position is eligible for a car ($6,000 per year) and cell phone ($1,430 per year) allowance. Relocation is also available.
