Details Outpatient multispecialty clinic setting caring for Breast Oncology, Breast Surgery, and Plastic Surgery patients Day shift schedule, 4x9 hour shifts from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM Uses Epic EMR Level I Trauma Center, Short Term Acute Care facility with 1,567 staffed beds Requirements Active RN license (CT or Compact) required BLS certification required Chemo certification (ONS/ONCC) required Minimum 2 years of RN experience required, though 1.5 years may be considered for candidates with Level I trauma or travel experience Prior travel nursing experience required Outpatient clinic and telephone triage experience required Epic charting experience required Teaching hospital experience preferred Experience with IV therapy, port access and management, and starting/maintaining IVs Experience managing chemotherapy side effects and oncologic emergencies Experience with breast cancer patient care Experience in infusion center, inpatient oncology, and outpatient oncology settings 1 professional reference required Additional Information Responsibilities include telephone triage, in-basket management, assisting providers during clinic visits, and pre-op/post-op or chemo teaching Care for new and returning patients Provide patient and family education and psychosocial support Recognize and communicate abnormal lab values Scrub color required: royal blue Monthly parking cost of $125 Flu vaccine required with no declinations accepted COVID-19 vaccine and booster required, with only religious or medical exemptions accepted Travelers are expected to participate in natural disaster or emergency response activities as needed Facility does not accept local candidates within a 75-mile radius Former staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 2 years to be eligible as a traveler Up to 7 days of RTO can be auto-approved American Traveler Job ID P-717739.
