Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Deaf Education, active DHH teaching certification, and 1+ years Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This full-time, onsite opportunity places experienced educators within supportive hubs serving Pre-K through elementary and soon expanding to middle school. Qualifications & Experience Desired:
- Valid and active Tennessee Department of Education (DOE) certification
- Prior experience working with K–12 students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing
- Solid understanding of consultative and direct instructional approaches
- Willingness to adapt based on student assignments and district needs
- Ability to meet time-sensitive credentialing requirements, including Tennessee fingerprinting
- Strong communication skills and commitment to fostering an inclusive classroom
Role Highlights & Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction and support to K–12 students, with assignment locations determined by district DHH hubs
- Serve as both direct instructor and consultant, based on service needs
- Cultivate a positive and accessible learning environment
- Collaborate with families, school teams, and specialists to support student success
- Participate in ongoing professional development and team meetings
- Maintain compliance with all educational and credentialing requirements
You’ll work a predictable weekly schedule—full-time, Monday through Friday—throughout the school year, with the opportunity to influence students’ academic and personal growth.
