Phlebotomist

Job Responsibilities Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups. Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc. Perform data entry of patient information accurately and in a timely manner. Process billing information and collect payments when required. Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis. Maintain patient and specimen information logs. Provide superior customer service to all patients. Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary. Other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma, GED, or equivalent. Phlebotomy certification or completion of a recognized training program or at least 3 months of experience as a phlebotomist. Preferred Qualifications 1 year or more of phlebotomy experience. Additional Job Standards In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completion of a training program from an accredited agency may meet requirements. Able to pass a standardized color blindness test. Flexibility to work overtime as needed. Exceptional customer service skills. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to work independently or in a team environment. Comfortable working under minimal supervision. Travel to additional sites as needed; reliable transportation required. Benefits Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, life, STD/LTD, 401(k), paid time off (PTO) or flexible time off (FTO), tuition reimbursement, and an employee stock purchase plan. Employees scheduled for less than 20 hours, casual, intern, and temporary employees are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) plan. Employees on a 7 on/7 off schedule are eligible for all benefits except PTO or FTO. Salary Pay Range: $17.75 - $26.00 per hour.
