Phlebotomist

Job Summary Phlebotomist – Lafayette, IN Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm, rotating Saturdays. Job Responsibilities Perform blood collections (venipuncture and capillary techniques) for all age groups. Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc. Enter patient information accurately and in a timely manner. Process billing information and collect payments as needed. Prepare collected specimens for testing and analysis. Maintain patient and specimen information logs. Provide superior customer service to all patients. Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary. Travel to additional sites when needed. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma, GED, or equivalent. Phlebotomy certification or completed training program, or 3+ months experience as a phlebotomist. Preferred Qualifications 1 year or more of phlebotomy experience. Additional Job Standards Phlebotomy certification/training must come from an accredited agency. Proven track record of exceptional customer service. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently or in a team environment. Comfortable working under minimal supervision. Reliable transportation. Flexibility to work overtime as needed. Able to pass a standardized color blindness test. Work Settings Will work in either a Patient Service Center or a Client office. Eligible for the PST Incentive Plan awarding quarterly bonuses based on performance metrics.
