ABOUT THE ROLE CJ 4DPLEX is seeking a highly motivated, organized, and analytical

Associate, Business Development

to support the continued growth of our premium cinema formats,

SCREENX and 4DX

, across the U.S. domestic exhibition market. This position will work closely with the Business Development team and cross-functional departments to identify new business opportunities, develop and track proposals, analyze market and box office performance, coordinate projects, and support relationships with both prospective and existing exhibition partners. Key Responsibilities: Market Mapping & Territory Analysis:

Manage and maintain ESRI mapping tools and databases used to evaluate potential SCREENX and 4DX locations, market coverage, competitive positioning, and expansion opportunities. Proposal Development & Tracking:

Assist in developing business proposals for prospective and existing exhibition partners and maintain accurate tracking of proposals, deal status, key terms, and next steps. Client & Market Research:

Conduct research on prospective partners, theatre circuits, individual locations, competitive premium formats, market dynamics, and other business development opportunities. Box Office & Performance Analysis:

Analyze box office, attendance, ticket pricing, theatre performance, and other relevant data to support sales presentations, proposals, negotiations, and expansion strategies. Deal Documentation:

Support the preparation, organization, and tracking of deal documentation, including proposals, term sheets, agreements, approvals, and related materials. Internal Reporting:

Prepare recurring and ad hoc business development reports, pipeline updates, performance analyses, presentations, and other materials for management and corporate leadership. Project Coordination:

Coordinate with internal departments including Project Management, Operations, Technology, Finance, Marketing, and Content to help move new SCREENX and 4DX projects from initial opportunity through execution and opening. Trade Shows & Industry Events:

Support the Business Development team at major industry trade shows, conferences, client meetings, and events, including meeting coordination, presentation materials, scheduling, and follow-up. Partner Support:

Provide ongoing support related to both new and existing exhibitor relationships, helping ensure timely communication, follow-up, and coordination of business priorities. Business Development Administration:

Provide day-to-day organizational and administrative support to the Business Development team, including maintaining databases, schedules, documents, presentations, and other materials necessary to manage a growing pipeline of opportunities. Knowledge and Skills: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, Economics, Communications, Entertainment/Media, or a related field preferred. 1–2 years of relevant professional experience in business development, sales, entertainment, media, analytics, or a related field preferred. Strong analytical skills and comfort working with box office, financial, market, and performance data. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. Experience with

ESRI/ArcGIS or other mapping and geographic analysis platforms

is strongly preferred. Excellent organizational and project-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously. Strong written and verbal communication skills. High attention to detail and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Ability to collaborate across departments and interact professionally with senior executives and external business partners. Interest in the theatrical exhibition, entertainment, and premium cinema industries. Ability to travel periodically to industry trade shows, client meetings, and other business events. Job Type: Full-time Compensation ranges from $ 52,000 to $ 73,000. We adhere to all applicable local laws regarding salary transparency and disclose ranges where legally required. The final offer will depend on a variety of factors including market conditions, candidate experience, internal equity, and other relevant considerations. Offers at the top end of the range are uncommon.
