Job Title: Manual Machinist (Lathe-Focused) Job Description

This role focuses on setting up and operating manual machining equipment, with an emphasis on manual lathes and some exposure to manual mills. You will interpret blueprints, prepare machines, and produce high-quality components in an indoor manufacturing environment during a morning shift.

• Set up and operate manual lathes to produce precision parts according to specifications and blueprints.
• Set up and operate manual mills as needed to support production requirements.
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine machining requirements.
• Select appropriate tooling, materials, and machine settings for each job.
• Measure and inspect finished parts to ensure they meet dimensional and quality standards.
• Adjust machine settings and tooling to maintain accuracy and efficiency during production.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area in compliance with shop standards.
• Perform basic preventive maintenance on manual machines to ensure reliable operation.

• Proven experience setting up and operating manual lathes.
• Hands-on experience operating manual mills.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Strong understanding of manual machining processes and techniques.
• Ability to use measuring tools to verify part dimensions and quality.
• Solid mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Capability to work independently and manage tasks within a production schedule.

• Previous experience operating and setting up manual machines in a manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with both lathe and mill operations in a manual machining context.
• Comfort working with various materials and adjusting machining parameters accordingly.

This position is based in an indoor manufacturing site with a dedicated machining area. You will work primarily on manual lathes and manual mills during a morning shift, typically from approximately 6:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The environment is production-oriented, with a focus on safety, organization, and consistent workflow.

This is a Contract position based out of Tulare, CA.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a fully onsite position in Tulare,CA.
