E‑commerce Fulfillment Operations Lead

Lead Evening Operations in Lenexa, KS Wage commensurate with experience | 2nd shift differential applies Step onto our 2nd-shift floor and you’ll set the pace for the entire fulfillment operation. Reporting to the Fulfillment Manager, you’ll orchestrate the flow of work—from light product fabrication and kitting through order preparation, collation, packaging, carrier labeling, and manifest creation—so every customer order ships accurately and on time. A day in this role As the shift begins, you review production schedule priorities and align the team accordingly. You stage work to ensure the right jobs move through each cell in sequence, remove bottlenecks, and fine-tune the workflow system so accuracy and speed stay high. Throughout the evening, you monitor metrics, validate reporting tools, and collect daily/weekly/monthly/annual data to gauge process improvements. You coordinate closely with other departments, keep senior leaders informed with timely status updates, and continuously refine policies, procedures, and training so the operation levels up week after week. What you’ll own Manage all fulfillment activities: product fabrication/finishing, order preparation and collation, packaging, shipment processing, labeling, and manifesting Develop and manage a cohesive workflow process; ensure the correct work flows through each stage with accuracy, efficiency, and on‑time delivery Communicate production schedule priorities; prioritize, facilitate, and expedite work to align with customer due dates Ensure the accuracy and completeness of reporting tools; collect and analyze performance data daily, weekly, monthly, and annually Monitor methods and frequency of metric collection to drive continuous improvement Lead process improvement initiatives, including workflow system enhancements Recommend and help develop future automated order‑picking solutions Benchmark parcel/small-package shipping systems and carrier options to minimize freight expense for GSP and customers Provide regular status updates to key stakeholders and senior management Foster strong collaboration between Fulfillment and other departments Refine, communicate, and uphold department policies and procedures Hire, schedule, and develop Fulfillment Services staff in line with workload and customer needs; oversee administrative staff management Establish and monitor training for new hires and existing team members Track the department budget and contribute to ongoing budget development What you bring Leadership / People Management Coaching and Mentoring Experience Where you’ll work Lenexa, KS (2nd shift).
