Job Title: Clinical Nurse BU – Hospice Skilled Nursing – La Mesa – Full-time – Day Shift Location: La Mesa, CA Facility: SRS San Carlos Shift: Day (10:00–18:30) Hours: 8hour shift per day (8/40) Pay Range: $56,580 – $70,170 – $83,760 What You Will Do Provide direct and indirect nursing services to patients and families. Required Qualifications Graduate of nursing school 1year clinical experience California Registered Nurse (RN) – CA Board of Registered Nursing – REQUIRED AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Professional (AHA BLS Healthcare) – American Heart Association – REQUIRED Driver's License – CA Department of Motor Vehicles – REQUIRED Preferred Qualifications HPCC Certified Hospice and Palliative Nurse (CHPN) – Hospice and Palliative Credentialing Center – PREFERRED Other Qualification Requirements Utilizes reliable transportation and possesses adequate personal insurance coverage Demonstrates a clean driving record as required by the employer’s DMV pull notice program and Sharp HealthCare Driver Guidelines Essential Functions Clinical Advancement: Uses systematic planning and timely communication with the multidisciplinary team and patient/family to coordinate care; manages multiple patient needs; problem‑solves and selects the most effective approach. Clinical Judgment and Decision Making: Applies the nursing process and critical thinking; identifies and evaluates risks; adjusts care plans; collaborates for referrals; acts as a preceptor; documents per guidelines; charts reflect a critical‑thinking approach. Clinical Leadership: Delegates tasks, analyzes situations, and applies appropriate supervision levels; assesses physician orders; offers constructive feedback; improves work processes; provides teaching. Nurse‑Patient/Family Relationship: Establishes therapeutic relationships; anticipates and addresses barriers; serves as patient advocate; provides education; coordinates transfer and discharge planning; adapts teaching to learner needs.
