BS or MS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field, or demonstrated equivalent experience.
Demonstrated fluency in leveraging AI technologies across the entire software development lifecycle, including breaking down user stories into actionable tasks, AI-assisted coding and
testing, automated defect resolution, and deployment of fully tested software.
Deep, hands-on experience building and deploying production systems on AWS (e.g., EC2, Lambda, ECS/EKS, S3, RDS/DynamoDB, API Gateway), with a record of real, customer-facing applications running in production.
Server-side software development experience with Python, Java, NodeJS, and/or other similar technologies; client-side web application development experience using React, Backbone, native JavaScript, and/or other comparable technologies.
Expertise in building secure, large-scale systems using fault-tolerant technologies (such as Elasticsearch, CockroachDB, Oracle, MongoDB & Kafka).
AWS certification (e.g., Solutions Architect, Developer) and/or CISSP/CCSP or similar security certification useful, not required.

You have proven experience serving as a software engineer for web application projects, hosted On-Prem and Cloud, supporting a large customer base.

You know when to build and when to reach for a managed AWS service - you can justify that trade-off based on the problem.

You think in systems and evaluate designs critically - whether reviewing AI-generated code or your own architecture - catching the subtle bug, security gap, or design choice that won't hold up under load or misuse.

You use spec-driven development with AI as your default way of engineering software.

You treat performance as a design constraint, not a tuning pass after the fact.

You pick up new tools and approaches quickly, since the effective way to work with AI changes often, and you'd rather adapt early than fall behind.

You are decisive without being divisive - you can analytically weigh trade-offs, balance competing priorities, and drive decisions that span organizational boundaries.

You have excellent communication and organization skills.
