Cost Accountant

Plant Cost AnalystThe Plant Cost Analyst will support Operations, providing financial insights in line with company policies. Duties include monthly closes, variance analysis, annual planning, and ad hoc reviews.Act as a key partner to plant leadership and all departments. This role holds significant visibility and importance within the plant and across company leadership.Collaborate with Plant Leadership as a trusted partner.Offer data-driven insights to enhance team performance and goals.Monitor and communicate actual performance against plans and forecasts.Analyze expenditure trends and workforce numbers to guide corrective actions.Prepare monthly closing entries accurately.Generate monthly financial statements and analyses.Aid in annual planning and interim projections.Ensure standard costs are accurately reflected.Drive financial analysis process improvements.Make expense vs. Capital decisions in compliance with GAAP.Participate in Plant Cost Savings initiatives as financial advisor.Maintain internal controls and audit compliance.Ensure proper inventory recording and reserves maintenance following GAAP standards.Represent the Finance Team in plant meetings.Requirements5-8 years of Cost Accounting experience in Manufacturing.Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field.Experience with standard cost valuation.Proficiency in cost accounting within ERP systems.Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
