Job Details Position: Travel Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN) Employment Type: Travel nursing assignment Location: Asheville, NC 28801 Start Date: 09/21/2026 Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-hour day shifts Hours per Week: 36 guaranteed hours Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,910 - $2,010 Setting: Labor & Delivery unit Patient Care Environment: High-acuity, team-oriented unit with 1:1 and 1:2 patient ratios Floating: MFMU, MOMB, NICU Weekend/On-Call: Not required; available upon approval Job Requirements Minimum of 2 years of Labor & Delivery RN experience Experience caring for high-risk obstetric and maternal patients Immediate newborn care experience in a hospital or acute care setting Current RN license or credential BLS and ACLS/ALS certification NRP certification Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification Preferred: circulating experience in Labor & Delivery or OB nursing Outgoing, friendly, adaptable, and patient-centered approach to nursing care Responsibilities Provide compassionate, skilled maternal and newborn nursing care for laboring patients Support vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, D&Cs, cerclage procedures, and C-hyst cases Monitor fetal status using electronic fetal monitoring systems Deliver immediate newborn assessment, stabilization, and support as needed Collaborate closely with the charge nurse, PCT, CST, and RN team members Maintain safe, efficient, high-quality care in a fast-paced Labor & Delivery environment Float to approved related areas as needed based on unit needs Apply now for this Asheville, NC travel nursing opportunity and join a supportive Labor & Delivery healthcare team today.
