Introduction

IBM Quantum builds quantum computers with a mission to bring useful quantum computing to the world. This requires many teams conducting research on the building blocks, assembling and testing full systems and making them available to a and internal and external global user base from multiple locations all over the world. A well architected, secure network is essential to keep this running smoothly

Your role and responsibilities

Responsibilities: You will work in the team responsible for designing, implementing and maintaining the network that is used to connect IBM's quantum computers and their components for internal research and development as well as to our global clients. Specifically, you will focus on how to manage the large number of networked devices and components and explore tools and techniques for automated management.

Required education

High School Diploma/GED

Preferred education

Associate's Degree/College Diploma

Required technical and professional expertise

• Computer Science or Electrical Engineering background
• Proficiency in Linux
• Automation knowledge - Ansible/Python
• Understanding of API's
• Desire/interest to work in the field of Computer Networking

Preferred technical and professional experience

• General Networking/Security knowledge
• Knowledge of DevOps/github processes
• Understanding of SNMP
