You will gain the experience to know what it means to be an Ally!The Work ItselfAs part of our Internship Program, you will have an opportunity to:Have hands on experience and project-based workAttend Orientation, Executive Speaking Series, and learning sessions as an Intern cohortParticipate in Mentoring Program and Giving Back Events Network with your peers, your team, and those Allys you find interestingLead an end of assignment presentationThe Details:Must be graduating between December 2027 and May 2029Internship Program Timing: May 25 – July 30, 2027 (tentative)40 hours each week with a mix of in-office and remote working daysProject-based workMarket competitive hourly compensation and a sign-on bonus, as well as financial housing assistance for those who qualifySuccessful interns will have the opportunity to return to Ally in an Early Talent Program or full-time role, or to a second internship, depending upon graduation timing.The Finance internship is comprised of teams responsible for financial reporting and analysis for Auto, Insurance, and other Finance teams at Ally. Responsibilities will vary across each team, but will allow you to apply your classroom knowledge in a real world setting. The CFO interns will have the opportunity to:Summarize and analyze financial dataDevelop skills related to financial analysis, data analytics and reporting, and effective communicationAttend formal company orientation and trainingParticipate in executive speaking seriesHave hands on experience in area of study; as well as participate in project-based workParticipate in an Employee Resource Group mentoring programLead an end of assignment presentationLeadership and career developmentNetworking opportunitiesAreas of Opportunity:Corporate Treasury - activities supporting optimization of Ally’s balance sheet, funding, and liquidity, as well as compliance related to capital and liquidity regulatory requirementsEnterprise FP&A / Investor Relations – financial planning, analysis and reporting of actual financial results and operational metrics for enterprise functions and consolidated resultsConsumer Bank Finance – financial planning, analysis and reporting for consumer and commercial banking businessDealer Financial Services Finance - financial planning, analysis and reporting for auto and insurance businessesFinance Transformation – transformational value creation, delivering high-value business outcomes through data, advanced analytics and forecastingThe Skills You BringRequired Qualifications:A rising Junior or Senior (during the time of internship) in a full-time undergraduate programMajoring in Finance or taking finance coursesWell-rounded in academics, volunteering, and fun!Eager to challenge the status quoEligible to work in the US for any employer without sponsorship from the company now or in the futurePreferred Qualifications:Experience in Excel, PowerPoint and Power BI or TableauPrevious internship experience, extracurricular activities, and leadership experience is preferredCandidates should reside in a commutable distance from the Ally location to which they are assignedA passion for the financial services and technology industry is strongly preferredMinimum Qualifications0+ years of experienceHigh school Diploma or GED equivalentHow We'll Have Your BackAlly's compensation program offers market-competitive base pay and pay-for-performance incentives (bonuses) based on achieving personal and company goals.
