Duration:412 months
HM: Eva Huston
Manager Updates 8/28:
Doing a payroll project but a lot is built out around time and absence in workday - LOA, time off, time tracking.
Resource ideally ET bc we do have a lot of crossover in AMEA.
Need Workday knowledge. Workday functional perspective, taking bus requirement - policy for time off ex - and turning into Workday technical BRD. Need Workday functional knowledge to translate into technical action. Partner w engineers if there are integrations needed, have good understanding of Workday ecosystem and understand how systems talk to each other.
Executing UAT system. Demos along the way within each sprint. Prototyping along the way to ensure alignment as we move forward.
Global supporting role.
Required: Workday configuration - specifically within absence, time tracking and LOA. Being able to drive work start to finish and ability to raise issues as things arise.
Nice to have: benefits and integration knowledge - really great to see if they are familiar in these areas.
Pot to extend or convert? At this time backfill for LOA, I hope my person comes back so not likely.
Interviews? Sept 15 th starting date for overlap w person going on leave. 2 rounds, want to hire quickly. No exam during intv but asking them to show ex with their experience within Workday.
Underqual: less than 2
Overqual: more than 7
Can be fully remote.
What would stand out? Workday Functional Consultant, Workday Analyst, Workday type titles.
Vendor 's
- 50% work coordinating business documentation and 50% actual configuration work - usually the hardest part getting ppl aligned before we can build something.
- Mix of HR, compliance and payroll business users.
- Turn away from strong integrations person, we have this knowledge, person backfilling is purely functional just nice to have integrations.
- Min headcount from prior companies? No, varies from 100 employees to 500 employees
- More than 7 okay? Absolutely if it's the right fit.
- What would you consider to be overqualified? More towards strategy towards workday. Architecture too senior. Need to be a builder, not strategy. Roadmap developed.
- Rockstar in PT okay? No, we would have to ask them to work at 6AM. If they say yes can work ET and can start at 6AM than okay, I just don't want that burden.
- Product and project management wanting to see? Both acceptable.
- Sounds like this is truly a techno functional workday resource, config analyst, workday analyst and those tend to lean more technical in nature and when you talk about config it's more tech than traditional product owner or manager, wanting to be clear, you are looking more technical in nature vs product owner? Yes orgs use terms differently, here at SFDC technical means integrations and custom code which is why I say technical consultant and configuration side. I see systems analyst, product owner even system engineer could be titles - if they are good at workday it could be a fit.
- I do not have someone to teach Workday to.
- Wanting to see global project experience? Yes, US is easier than Germanys of the world. Ideally they would have experience config in Argentina, india, Germany etc. bc of nuances and complexities with other countries.
- Is this person managing any budgets, timelines, milestones? No.
- Prior industry? No best part about time and absence is it's standard across industries.
Bill Rate with the MSP fee removed: $116.62
