Senior Data Modeler / Data Architect - Project

Key Responsibilities

• Develop conceptual, logical and physical data models supporting client's Enterprise DaaP architecture.
• Define canonical data models, enterprise data vocabularies, domain categories and standardized data structures .
• Design scalable models supporting structured, unstructured and time-series/streaming data.
• Design data architecture spanning Confluent/Kafka, AWS, Snowflake and dbt .
• Develop analytics-ready models and transformation logic using SQL/dbt , including curated data layers and canonical metrics.
• Support data curation including ingestion, cleansing, deduplication, aggregation, augmentation, harmonization and transformation .
• Define reusable data and integration patterns supporting APIs, data warehouses, catalogs, analytics, ML and downstream data products.
• Incorporate data quality, lineage, metadata, schema management and governance requirements into data models and architecture.
• Collaborate with Data Governance, Data Engineering, Integration and business teams to translate business requirements into standardized enterprise data models.
• Support architecture validation through implementation of client use cases, including the Golden Flight Record and operational data pipelines

The job specifically calls for canonical data models and reusable integration patterns, as well as conceptual/logical/physical DaaP architecture and review of data vocabularies/domain categories.

Required Qualifications

1. 5+ years of enterprise data architecture/data modeling experience within large, complex data environments.
2. At least three (3) successfully completed enterprise integration or enterprise data platform projects within the last five (5) years, meeting ALL of the following:
   1. Performed in North America, Europe, or Australia
   2. Each client organization had at least 1,000 employees
   3. Experience is verifiable through identifiable project dates, scope, technologies and outcomes.
3. At least three (3) verifiable project references within the last three (3) years involving North America or EU-based large organizations and/or environments with more than 5,000 users ,
4. Strong experience with Enterprise Integration and Data Architecture , including modern cloud-based enterprise data platforms.
5. Demonstrated experience designing conceptual, logical and physical data models , canonical models, domain models and enterprise data standards.
6. Experience with event-driven/streaming architectures and integration patterns.
7. Strong experience with Snowflake, SQL and dbt or comparable modern data transformation/modeling technologies.
8. Experience designing data architectures involving AWS and Kafka/Confluent environments.
9. Understanding of enterprise integration security, data governance, data quality, metadata and lineage.
10. Experience translating complex operational/business requirements into scalable data architectures and models.
11. Highly Desired: Aviation/airport systems or comparable large-scale enterprise operational data; high-volume streaming architectures; AWS MSK/Confluent; Atlan.
