A leading global provider of isotope technology is seeking a Health Physicist to join their onsite team in Valencia, CA. This direct-hire, non-exempt role offers exceptional 100% employer-paid medical/dental benefits and an $8,000 relocation package for eligible out-of-state talent. Reporting directly to the Health Physics Manager, you will play a critical role in maintaining an exceptional safety culture.

responsibilities:

• Monitor onsite radiation safety programs to ensure full compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Provide radiological surveillance support for production activities covered by Special Radiological Work Permits (SRWPs).
• Collect, prepare, package, and assay radioactive waste for disposal while managing the tracking database.
• Calculate and evaluate internal and external radiation doses for employees, visitors, and the public.
• Repair, maintain, and calibrate crucial survey instruments, including Geiger counters and ion chambers.
• Travel to the Burbank, CA office (10-20% of the time) to provide cross-functional team support.

 
qualifications:

Required:

• BS degree in Health Physics or a related scientific field with radiological laboratory experience.
• 2-3 years of dedicated experience in Health Physics-related activities.
• Working knowledge of radiation safety regulations, safety surveys, and dose/effluent calculations.
• Strong mathematical proficiency, clear communication, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must be authorized to work in the US without current or future sponsorship.

Preferred:

• Basic programming experience.
• Master's degree in Health Physics.
