Travel RN – Medical Surgical (Nights)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | 36 or 48 hours per week | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to perform assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care for all age groups
• Monitor and coordinate patient care activities with ancillary departments to optimize patient outcomes and comfort
• Evaluate the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers and maintain professional accountability
• Coordinate patient care in conjunction with other departments while maintaining patient rights and confidentiality
• Operate unit equipment including bladder scanners, vein finders, IV pumps, and wound vacs
• Float to similar or lower acuity units as needed

Required Qualifications

• Current RN license – must meet eligibility criteria for licensure in the state of Missouri or currently licensed in Missouri
• Minimum 1 year of inpatient Medical Surgical experience
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) only
• Flu vaccination (or approved exemption) required November 1 – April 1; declinations are not accepted
• Ability to work every other weekend as required by the facility
• Must be available the entire first week for day-shift orientation (night shift orients on days)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from AHA only
• Experience with EPIC EMR
• Med Surg/Telemetry background
