Job Overview Financial Administrator 1 is responsible for the assigned financial activities of a business unit within the Natural Sciences division and will execute financial tasks to ensure operational efficiency. Offers a hybrid work schedule: 3 days in office and 2 days remote for residents within OH/IN/KY after 90 days of training. Essential Functions Order supplies for assigned departments using various purchasing software programs. Assist with travel expense reporting and guide faculty and students to adhere to the process. Answer Concur questions in adherence with the Travel Policy of travelers. Process cash advances in Concur in adherence with UC policy. Process invoices to ensure timely payment and correct account coding. Process Personal Services Contracts & Limited Services Engagement forms in adherence with UC policy. Perform related duties based on departmental need. Required Education Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field. Four (4) years of relevant work experience and/or specialized training can be used in lieu of the education requirement. Required Experience Related finance or accounting experience. Additional Qualifications Considered Experience working in higher education. MS Excel skills (creating spreadsheets and using financial functions). Strong organizational and time‑management skills. Ability to work independently. Experience working with internal and external customers and partners. Compensation and Benefits Competitive salary of up to $51,030.00.
