Shipping Clerk – PM Shift
Pay Rate: $20.00 per hourSchedule
Monday: 5:00 PM – 12:00 AM (occasionally until 2:00 AM)
Tuesday: 3:00 PM – 10:00 PM
Wednesday: 1:00 PM – 8:00 PM
Thursday: 3:00 PM – 10:00 PM
Friday: 5:00 PM – 12:00 AM (occasionally until 2:00 AM) No weekends required.
Position Summary
We are seeking an energetic, reliable, and detail-oriented Shipping Clerk to support our shipping and receiving
operations during the afternoon/evening shift. This position serves as the primary point of contact for drivers and
visitors arriving for load pickups and deliveries. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills,
administrative experience, and a customer-focused attitude.
Responsibilities
Greet and assist drivers, visitors, and vendors upon arrival.
Verify shipping and receiving documentation.
Provide directions and instructions for pickups and deliveries.
Answer questions and resolve basic issues related to shipping and receiving activities.
Maintain accurate records and data entry related to shipments.
Communicate effectively with warehouse personnel, drivers, and management.
Ensure all paperwork is completed accurately and filed appropriately.
Support daily office and administrative functions as needed.
Maintain a professional and organized work environment.
Requirements
Fluent English communication skills required.
Ability to communicate basic instructions and directions in Spanish.
Previous clerical, administrative, customer service, or office support experience required.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Comfortable working in an office environment.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to multitask and remain professional in a fast-paced environment.
Must be dependable and able to work the scheduled hours consistently.
Candidate must not have a conflicting second job due to the varying schedule requirements.
Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to go above and beyond.
Preferred Qualifications
Recent college graduate or candidate seeking a long-term career opportunity.
Experience working in logistics, transportation, shipping, or warehouse environments.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
