Accounts Payable Specialist

Location: Boca Raton, FL 33487 (100% onsite) Compensation: $60,000–$65,000 annually (DOE) Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday

Overview: A growing organization is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join its team in Boca Raton. This position is fully onsite and will support day-to-day AP operations in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable handling high-volume invoice processing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process high-volume invoices accurately and in a timely manner
• Perform 3-way matching of invoices, purchase orders, and receipts
• Review and verify invoices for appropriate documentation and approvals
• Code and enter invoices into the accounting system
• Manage vendor records, including onboarding and updates
• Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve discrepancies
• Execute weekly check runs, ACH, and wire payments
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve outstanding issues
• Assist with month-end closing activities, including accruals and reporting
• Maintain accurate and organized AP files and documentation

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of accounts payable experience
• Experience with full-cycle AP processing
• Strong understanding of invoice matching, coding, and reconciliations
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUPs, basic formulas preferred)
• Experience with ERP/accounting systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, QuickBooks, or similar)
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities
• Excellent communication skills for vendor and internal interactions

Preferred:

• Experience in a high-volume or fast-paced environment
• Exposure to month-end close processes
