Registered Nurse - Acute Care Rehab

Schedule

This is a night shift position, with 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM. Weekend and holiday work is required on an every third weekend basis.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Acute Care Rehabilitation team. The RN will provide specialized care for patients with rehabilitation needs, including those who are post-stroke, post-surgically, or have neurological diagnoses.

Responsibilities

• Interpret laboratory results and conduct medication reconciliation.
• Manage patient health questionnaires and document vital signs.
• Perform dressing changes and setup aseptic/sterile procedure trays.
• Handle specimen collection including phlebotomy and clean catch urine samples.
• Conduct telephone triage and manage pharmacy call requests for patient refills.
• Care for patients diagnosed with CVA, TBI, ABI, spinal cord injuries, and generalized debility.
• Maintain patient ratios typically at 1:6, with occasional adjustments for acutely impacted units.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required; first-time travelers will not be considered.
• Acute Care Rehabilitation experience is preferred.
• Active RN license required at the time of submission.
• BLS certification is mandatory.
• Prior experience with the EPIC charting system is required.
• Experience in interpreting dysrhythmias and EKG is necessary.
