Details Labor and Delivery unit with 4 Triage rooms, 11 LDR rooms, 2 ORs, NICU, and Post-Partum care Supports 24/7 OB hospitalist and OB anesthesia coverage for low and high risk deliveries Patient population includes neonates, adolescents, and adults Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM) 4 weekend shifts per month required (Friday or Saturday nights) On-call is voluntary, though staff may be placed on call if not needed for a scheduled shift Floating to Perinatal required as needed Uses SBAR, Omnicell, and eMD Allscripts systems Requirements Active California RN license required at time of consideration Minimum 3 years of Labor and Delivery experience required Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Advanced Epic EMR experience required Allscripts charting experience preferred Skills required: external fetal monitoring, recognition and treatment of abnormal fetal heart rate patterns, and circulating for C-sections Advanced EKG exam required prior to start with a minimum 80% passing score References required for consideration Additional Information Provide comprehensive nursing care for low and high risk labor and delivery patients Circulate for cesarean sections and monitor fetal heart rate patterns using external fetal monitoring equipment First-time travelers are welcome to apply Local candidates accepted at the travel rate Return staff reviewed on a case-by-case basis Facility is smoke and nicotine-free; candidates must arrive free of tobacco odor RTO must be submitted with initial application and cannot be changed after submission, except for cancellations No RTO permitted during the first two weeks of the assignment Maximum of 3 RTO days allowed for the contract One holiday RTO request may be submitted but is not guaranteed Staff must work most holidays Required modules must be completed prior to start, tracked via transcripts American Traveler Job ID P-735856.
