Collaborate with team members, share knowledge, and contribute to a positive, client-focused office environment Required Qualifications Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment1 Minimum 1 year of experience in tax preparation, accounting, finance, or bookkeeping, including preparing individual and business returns Experience working in a client facing, consultative, or advisory role Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain tax concepts in client-friendly language Must complete continuing education and meet all other IRS and applicable state requirements High school diploma / GED / equivalent required Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or a related field 5+ years of experience in tax preparation, accounting, finance, bookkeeping CPA or Enrolled Agent (EA), or other IRS Circular 230 credential Experience completing complex returns, tax planning, audit support, or tax notice resolution Familiarity with GoSystem or Ultratax software Familiarity with AI-powered tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT) Experience in a consultative or advisory client relationship role (financial advising, insurance, or professional services) Why work for us At H&R Block, our purpose is simple: to provide help and inspire confidence in our clients and communities everywhere.
