Local Travel Emergency Room Registered Nurse
Emergency Room Registered Nurse assignment in Dothan, Alabama. 13-week contract with weekly pay up to $2,160, depending on experience. Provide safe, evidence-based care to patients in a fast-paced ER.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide safe, compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to ED patients
Perform comprehensive patient assessments, triage, and ongoing monitoring based on patient acuity
Recognize changes in patient condition and respond promptly to emergent situations
Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately according to physician orders and facility protocols
Initiate and assist with emergency interventions, procedures, and treatments
Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, technicians, and other members of the healthcare team
Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation in the electronic medical record
Prioritize care effectively in a fast-paced emergency department environment
Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, medications, follow-up care, and discharge instructions
Follow hospital policies, infection-control standards, patient-safety procedures, and applicable regulatory requirements
Provide professional, patient-centered care to individuals with a wide range of medical and emergency conditions
Demonstrate strong clinical judgment, communication skills, adaptability, and teamwork throughout the assignment
Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited nursing program
Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution
Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse license eligible for practice in Alabama
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
Critical Care Nursing (CEN) or Trauma Nursing Certified (TNCC) certification
Strong assessment, prioritization, critical-thinking, and emergency-response skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment
