Job Description
Exciting Opportunity for Night Shift Psychiatric RN!

Job Description:
- Join a dynamic team focused on providing exceptional psychiatric care to children and adolescents.
- Work a Night 3x12-Hour shift from 19:00 to 07:00, making a meaningful impact on young patients' lives.
- Minimum experience required:
- 1 year in a psychiatric setting.
- 2 years in the specialty you are applying for.
- Pediatric experience is mandatory!
- 1 year of travel experience preferred.
- Certification Requirements:
- BLS required.
- TCIS (Therapeutic Crisis Intervention) training will be provided.
- Engage with patients dealing with:
- Bipolar disorders
- Anxiety disorders
- Eating disorders
- Psychotic disorders
- Depressive disorders
- Responsibilities include:
- Facilitating therapeutic groups.
- Conducting safety checks.
- Assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as meal supervision, bathing, and laundry.
- Engaging in recreational activities with patients (games, gym, etc.).
- Providing 1:1 supervision for high-risk patients in inpatient units or the Emergency Department.
- Documenting in an Electronic Medical Record system.
- Passing medications.
- Managing admissions and discharges.
- Attending rounds to share pertinent information with the healthcare team.
- Educating patients and families on mental health topics.
- Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift 25 lbs.
- Participation in physical holds/restraints when necessary.
- Shift Details:
- Required to work every other weekend and holiday.
- Note: Cannot guarantee block scheduling, but will attempt to accommodate requests.
- Additional Expectations:
- Candidates must be FULLY VACCINATED (including COVID).
- Previous CCHMC employees cannot apply for contract positions for 1 year from their term date.
- Valid Ohio or compact licenses accepted.
- 2 manager references required within the past 12 months.
