Title
Registered Nurse - Progressive Care Unit

Schedule
Nights/Weekends ratio: 5:1
Weekend requirement: 8 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule

Assignment Details
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week

Requirements
- Minimum 2 years RN experience
- Community hospital experience required
- Travel nursing experience required
- BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications required
- Telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation/management
- Post-cardiac cath / post-MI care and femoral/groin site management
- IV therapy: peripheral/Central line/PICC care, blood product administration, starting IVs
- Respiratory support: HFNC, CPAP/BiPAP, basic airway support

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the progressive care unit.
- Monitor vital signs and manage telemetry for patients with complex medical needs.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed and monitor for side effects and efficacy.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create and implement patient care plans.
- Participate in rapid response and code team efforts as needed.
- Assist in post-operative care for cardiac patients, including managing femoral/groin site care.

- Requested Time Off (RTO): Maximum 7 days (must be finalized at submission)
- Orientation: 16 hours
