Registered Nurse - Psychiatric (Nursing)

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse specializing in psychiatric care to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in providing nursing care to patients experiencing mental health issues, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care, including assessments, medication administration, and monitoring of vital signs.
• Develop individualized care plans in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.
• Administer therapeutic nursing interventions and provide patient education.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic medical records.
• Participate in treatment team meetings and contribute to the formulation of treatment goals.
• Support patients and their families by providing emotional support and counseling.
• May float to multiple locations within the region as needed.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid and active Registered Nurse license in New Hampshire or a compact state.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in psychiatric nursing or related specialty.
• Current certifications required: BLS, CPI or MOAB.
• Experience with electronic medical record systems, particularly Cerner, is preferred.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Location

Position available in Laconia, NH, with potential floating to multiple locations within the region.
