About the Position

This unit specializes in the care of acute stroke and complex telemetry patients. It is designed to deliver evidence-based, protocol-driven care with a strong focus on patient safety. Rapid intervention and interdisciplinary collaboration are critical in this role. Responsibilities include performing and documenting frequent neurological assessments, including the NIH Stroke Scale. Monitoring and interpreting telemetry rhythms is essential, along with responding to changes in real time. You will ensure compliance with stroke core measures such as dysphagia screening, education, and care plans. Administer medications using safe and accurate standards. Coordinating care with an interdisciplinary team is necessary. Managing admissions, discharges, and patient flow in a high-turnover environment is a key responsibility. Maintaining a constant focus on falls prevention, skin integrity, and patient safety is crucial.
