Recycling Shop Hand / CDL Class A Driver
Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour
Job Description
Jennmar Services is hiring a dependable and hardworking Shop Hand / CDL Class A Driver to support our non-ferrous recycling operations. This position combines local driving with hands-on yard work, making it ideal for someone who enjoys physical work and operating equipment in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Drive Class A trucks for local pick-ups and deliveries (home daily)
- Load and unload scrap materials using forklifts, loaders, or manual labor
- Sort and grade non-ferrous metals (copper, aluminum, brass, etc.)
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized yard
- Follow all DOT and safety regulations
- Assist with general shop and yard duties
Requirements
- Valid CDL Class A License (required)
- Clean driving record and ability to pass a DOT drug screen
- Ability to perform physical labor (lifting, bending, outdoor work)
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Comfortable working in all weather conditions
Preferred Qualifications
- Scrap or recycling yard experience
- Roll-off, dump truck, or flatbed experience
- Equipment operation (forklift, skid steer, loader)
- Knowledge of non-ferrous metals
Safety
All duties and responsibilities must be conducted in a safe, clean and productive manner. It is a requirement to comply with all Health and Safety requirements established by JENNMAR Services.
