Location: Hickory, NC Area
Salary: $90,000-$110,000

A well-established manufacturing company is seeking an experienced Supply Chain & Planning Manager to lead production planning, purchasing, inventory management, and scheduling functions.

What You'll Be Responsible For

As the Supply Chain & Planning Manager, you'll oversee the daily planning and purchasing functions while serving as a key member of the operations leadership team.

Responsibilities include:

• Lead production planning and scheduling activities to support customer demand.
• Develop daily and weekly manufacturing schedules while adjusting priorities as business needs change.
• Monitor inventory levels and material availability to support uninterrupted production.
• Partner with purchasing to ensure suppliers meet delivery expectations and material requirements.
• Evaluate forecasts, inventory trends, and production requirements to improve planning accuracy.
• Recommend improvements that reduce excess inventory while maintaining service levels.
• Maintain ERP/MRP planning data including lead times, inventory parameters, and planning accuracy.
• Develop KPI reporting that measures supply chain and planning performance.
• Collaborate with operations, engineering, production, shipping, and sales to resolve scheduling and material challenges.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on planning, purchasing, inventory control, and communication across departments.
• Coach and develop employees while promoting accountability and teamwork.

What We're Looking For

Successful candidates will possess:

• Seven or more years of experience in supply chain, production planning, purchasing, scheduling, or inventory management within manufacturing.
• Previous leadership or supervisory experience.
• Strong knowledge of ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Excel.
• Experience managing production schedules, inventory levels, and supplier performance.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively across multiple departments.
