Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery Nurse (L&D) position in Lafayette, Colorado. This role involves performing independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions in accordance with state Board of Nursing standards. The nurse will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate maternal and neonatal care, provide health education and counseling, and ensure proper documentation. The position requires flexibility to float within scope of competency and may include being on-call during scheduled shifts.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM. There is a requirement of 10 weekend shifts within an 8-week period. The workweek minimum is 36 hours.
• Required Qualifications: Valid Single State or Compact Registered Nurse (RN) license, Bachelor's degree of Nursing (preferred), ASN (Associates of Science in Nursing) from an accredited school, minimum of 1 year of clinical nursing experience, current BLS (American Heart Association), NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), and AWHONN or C-EFM certifications.
• Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience as a Registered Nurse in a Labor and Delivery setting, additional certifications relevant to perinatal care.
• Additional Information: The role involves executing delegated medical functions, monitoring therapy and treatment plans, health assessments, health teaching, and counseling related to maternal and neonatal care. Flexibility to float to other departments within scope and to be on-call as needed.
