Compensation & Schedule

• $20.00 to $22 per hour

• Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM

• Full-time, W2 employment

• Start date: ASAP

Role Impact

The Shipping & Receiving Clerk ensures the secure intake, documentation, and shipment of delicate biomedical and calibration equipment. This role directly supports laboratory turnaround times and quality compliance by maintaining accurate tracking, careful handling, and precise system updates. Success is defined by attention to detail, accountability, and the ability to balance warehouse responsibilities with administrative data entry.

Job Duties

•Unboxing incoming items and checking them into the calibration lab

•Re-boxing items after calibration

•Recording box dimensions and weight

•Adding shipping labels

•Reviewing an Excel spreadsheet to identify customers and determine which items need to be boxed or unboxed

• Receive, unpack, and inspect incoming calibration and biomedical equipment against work orders, RMAs, and packing slips

• Document damage or discrepancies and communicate findings internally

• Enter equipment details into laboratory management systems (Transmille ProCal Track, Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365), NAV, or Business Central)

• Apply labels, barcodes, and tracking tags to maintain full traceability of instruments

• Clean, wrap, box, weigh, and securely package precision instruments for shipment

• Process outbound shipments using FedEx, UPS, and related shipping platforms

• Coordinate with calibration technicians and invoicing teams to support workflow efficiency and turnaround times

• Maintain a clean, organized shipping and receiving area and assist with general inventory support

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Strong computer and data entry skills with attention to accuracy

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stair navigation

Preferred Skills

• Experience in shipping/receiving, warehouse, inventory, or logistics environments

• Familiarity with laboratory, calibration, manufacturing, or technical equipment handling

• Experience using FedEx/UPS shipping software or ERP tracking systems
