Specimen Processing Specialist II

Labcorp is seeking a Specimen Processor II to join our team in Morristown, NJ. Work Schedule: Monday – Friday 9:00am-5:30pm Job Responsibilities Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis and testing Communicate effectively with client office staff Research, troubleshoot and resolve customer and specimen problems Meet department activity and production goals Data entry of patient information accurately and in a timely manner Accurately identify and label specimens Pack and ship specimens to proper testing facilities Scrub requisitions to ensure samples are prepared and missing items are updated Do spinning/freezing/splitting and other special services as needed based on client requirements Minimum Qualifications High School Diploma or GED or equivalent 1 year or more experience in a laboratory, accessioning, data entry, manufacturing or warehouse setting Preferred Qualifications Experience in medical or patient‑facing healthcare Additional Job Standards Comfortable handling biological specimens Ability to accurately identify specimens Experience working in a team environment Strong data entry and organizational skills High level of attention to detail Experience with MS Office Able to lift up to 40 lbs. Able to pass a standardized color blindness test Pay Range $17.75 - $20.00 per hour Benefits Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
