Job Title

Registered Nurse – ICU (Intensive Care Unit)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | 3x12-hour shifts | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in an intensive care unit setting with a typical patient ratio of 1:2–3
• Manage ventilator-dependent patients and perform IV drip titration
• Monitor telemetry, recognize dysrhythmias, and initiate appropriate management
• Administer and monitor conscious sedation as required
• Respond to emergencies and deliver critical care interventions
• Float as needed to Stepdown, Emergency Department, or Medical-Surgical units to care for ICU-level patients being held

Required Qualifications

• Active Virginia or Compact RN license in hand at time of submission — no exceptions
• Proficiency in Epic EMR — no exceptions
• BLS certification (American Heart Association only)
• ACLS certification (American Heart Association only)
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
• Must pass an EKG/telemetry competency test with a score of 80% or higher prior to start (one attempt; no remediation available)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Minimum of three years of critical care experience preferred; strong candidates with less experience may be considered
• Strong neuro critical care background highly desirable
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred
