Medical Assistant (MA)

Pay Range: $20.00 - $29.00

A successful candidate's actual pay rate will be based on several factors including relevant experience, skills, training, certifications and education.

HSHS is seeking a Medical Assistant (MA) to join our Diabetes and Endocrinology clinic. Ideal candidates are patient focused, mission driven caregivers looking for an opportunity to apply clinical knowledge to coordinate and perform hands on care to support expert, compassionate care to our neurology patients.

Position Specifics

• Department: Diabetes and Endocrinology Clinic
• Core Function: Medical Assistant
• Schedule: Monday-Friday. 40 Hrs/Wk., 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
• Facility: Springfield – Diabetes & Endocrinology
• Clinic Location: Springfield, IL
• Sign On Bonus: $5,000

Education Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Graduate from accredited medical assistant program with coursework in pharmaceuticals and medicine administration practicum or 1 year of medical assistant experience required.

Experience Qualifications

• 2 years of clinical experience as a Medical Assistant is required.

Certifications, Licenses and Registrations

• Medical Assistant (MA) Certification/Registration required or must be obtained within 90 days of start date from one of the following credentialing organizations:
• Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) is required within 60 days of hire.
