Job Description

Murray Motors Mazda in Muncy, Pa is looking for somebody with a positive attitude and a passion for outstanding customer service. The Service Advisor is the center of communication for service/repair activities and the liaison between customers and the technicians. Serving as the primary point-of-contact for all automotive service and repair matters, the Service Advisor must listen and thoroughly understand customer problems, arrange for appropriate service/repairs, and set/manage expectations on the part of the customers and the technicians in terms of service delivery. He or she makes sure the customer knows what repairs are needed and what maintenance is recommended. No one wants to have to bring their car in, but our Advisors ensure the customer is satisfied that the vehicle will be repaired correctly the first time and in the shortest time possible.


The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, some post-secondary automotive training or experience, at least one year of dealer-level or large facility experience, an unrestricted driver's license and a clean driving record. The ability to work productively in a fast-paced team environment and must have a positive attitude, professional appearance, great communication skills, and the ability to deliver world-class customer service.

Responsibilities

• Have a positive attitude and be kind to customers
• Greet every customer in a timely and friendly manner
• Verifies customer information, the reason for their visit and creates a Repair Order
• Performs a proper walk around each vehicle with a vehicle check list notating any existing damage to the vehicle.
• Reviews the customer's service history using the necessary criteria to offer recommended services
• Obtains the multipoint inspection from the technician working on the customer's vehicle to cover areas of concern or to determine selling opportunities
• Updates customers on their vehicle status and reviews the multipoint inspection with them
• Makes repair recommendations and manages delivery of repairs by setting and managing customer expectations
• Process all phases of Service Contracts, Warranties from submission to payment collection
• Ensures that the required documentation is complete and is in compliance with regulations and standards
• Sustain dealership metrics, including high Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) scores, complete multi-point inspection video reviews, and comprehensive repair order documentation
• Complete the check-out process-ensuring the proper form of payment is used
• Thank the customers for their business
• Must handle customer concerns/issues
• Must be a team player while working with co-workers
• Complies with and enforces all safety policies and procedures
• Attends all staff meetings, trainings, and educational classes regularly
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• Neat, clean, and professional appearance
• A pleasant/friendly demeanor and an outgoing personality
• Highly professional and dependable
• Excellent communication skills, customer service, problem-solving skills, including the ability to maintain composure under stress.
• Excellent interpersonal skills for interacting professionally with customers, vendors, and staff
• Unrestricted driver's license and clean driving record
• Able to drive both automatic and standard-transmission vehicles
• Basic computer and internet skills

This is a Mon-Fri 8-5 position. Working every 3rd Saturday (8-1) is mandatory. (With a half day during the week that the Saturday is worked.)
