Location: Bloomington, IN 47408
Duration: 15 Weeks

Pay Rate: $24.00/Hour

Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified Medical Assistant to provide both front-office and back-office support in a patient-focused healthcare environment. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a collaborative setting and providing both administrative and clinical assistance to ensure a smooth patient experience.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist patients in a professional and welcoming manner.
• Room patients and prepare them for examinations.
• Schedule appointments and answer incoming phone calls.
• Obtain and document patient vital signs.
• Perform phlebotomy and venipuncture procedures.
• Administer vaccines as directed by healthcare providers.
• Assist with other clinical and administrative tasks as needed.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
• Utilize Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems efficiently.
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to support daily operations.
• Provide excellent patient service and communicate effectively with patients.
• Support health education and community outreach activities when required.
• Maintain attention to detail while handling multiple responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of Medical Assistant experience , excluding externship experience.
• Medical Assistant Certification strongly preferred.
• Phlebotomy/Venipuncture experience required.
• Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
• Strong computer skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative healthcare environment.
• Passion for patient education, health outreach, and making a positive difference in the community.
